The answer is simple: call a professional biohazard remediation team for help. When calling a professional biohazard cleaning service like Bio-One, you can:
Prevent further trauma
Avoid spreading bloodborne pathogens
Ensure the remediation is completed safely
Expect the job to be done right
Receive help filing an insurance claim
When loved ones or neighbors try to clean up the scene, they are doing it with the best of intentions. But they could also experience emotional trauma from the clean up.
The three most common diseases spread through blood are HIV, Hepatitis B, and Hepatitis C. If the person cleaning the scene isn’t properly protected, they could accidentally become infected and not realize it.
Hazardous cleaning requires specialized training, protective equipment, and adherence to OSHA regulations.
Bio-One uses powerful proprietary chemicals and processes and we have the experience to efficiently and thoroughly remediate any location.
Homeowners insurance often covers biohazard remediation. The Bio-One billing team can assist filing and submitting homeowner's insurance claims. If homeowners insurance is available, Bio-One will ask for the following information to begin the claim process:
Name of the insured
The name of the individual on the insurance policy.
Insurance carrier
Business name of the insurance provider.
Policy number

This is the date when the event that caused the damage or loss occurred.
Tips When Calling Bio-One - Trauma Scene Cleaning
Bio-One teams across the U.S. are ready to answer the call 24/7/365. To ensure the best service possible, be prepared to answer the following questions that may be asked:
Has law enforcement released the scene?
If you are calling on behalf of a friend or a loved one, do you have the authority to grant consent to do the work?
Are you the property owner or do you rent?
If renting, a renter only has authority over personal items. Do you have contact information for the property owner?

Is there anything you want us to find or save for you?
Are there animals on the property? If yes, do you have a way to secure them or safely remove them from the property?
What is the best way for our team to access the home?
Would you prefer to sign our work order in person or electronically?
Are utilities, such as water and electricity, working?
Bill, Mike and Joe are phenomenal men and biohazard cleaners. My husband and I had mice in our house. Usually it's no big deal. We would get 1, put out the glue traps and in a day or 2, it was caught. Never to see another until the next year. In fact, for the last few years, we had zero. Last year was traumatic. We had more than one and they were avoiding the sticky traps. Unlike the other mice, they were way more active. We moved out of our home for awhile. We ended up calling pest control who came out and did a wonderful job. Then I thought we needed the house cleaned and sanitized by professionals. We couldn't do it ourselves as I am immunocompromised and have really bad asthma and my husband couldn't either. I did my internet research and came across Bio One. I spoke to Bill and we spoke as friends. Wasn't expecting that. I had called other companies who never called back or spoke to me like business as usual. Let me point out, I don't mind that. These days customer service is rare. I don't expect chit chat. I don't expect niceties. I do expect you to do your job.Bill sold me when we talked. I believe that he believes in knowing your client, if at all possible. Also, treating you with kindness and dignity. It was Mike who came to my house to look at the "damage" aka mice poop. He thoroughly explained what the process would be, how long, etc. He also answered all my questions. I got an estimate via email of the charges later. Let me say, because of Bill and Mike I went with their service. There is another company that would have charged me less but I feel like they didn't care about my husband and me and my concerns. If they didn't care about that then that attitude would carry to their service. Mike and Joe came to clean and sanitize. It took a few hours, it wasn't all day. (My home is @1000sqft) They had said one, maybe two days. I was shocked. I was more shocked when I went from room to room and saw NO mouse feces and even some of the things I had strewn around my house kinda "organized." They went above and beyond. Mike, Joe and I ended up just talking after and I was relieved. Having pests in your home causes embarrassment. It makes you feel dirty even though it may not be your fault. I did not feel judged or uncomfortable with Mike and Joe. I felt like they were here to help us. As one human would do for another. Go to their website, bioonechicago.com to see all the biohazard services they do and how you can contact them. You will not be disappointed. Bill, Mike and Joe are extraordinary people and will give you extraordinary results. They are also fair about their pricing. The only disappointment I had is that I didn't get to meet Bill. He's a hoot and a half!!

Even more than the quality cleanup work they do, there's significant compassion and understanding that comes first. From the first phone call to getting a quote and service the next day, they were great, got the job done quickly, for a great price, and most of all, with kindness. Whatever kind of cleanup job you may need help with, whether you think it's huge or small and overwhelming either way, it's absolutely worth calling and asking for help!

Bill Muir and I met a few years ago. I have referred him to many people. Today he is doing work in my house, so grateful to know that the flood damage from the fish tank will be taken care of and my house will be whole once again.

I can't say enough good things about Bill and his team at Bio-One. Bill was very understanding about a difficult hoarding clean-out at my mother's house in Lake County, IL. The team worked diligently and discovered many valuable items I had no idea existed. They really went the extra mile to review, sort, and clean. Plus, the clean-out was very discreet to avoid any embarrassing conversations with the neighbors. Bill was in regular contact and is such an understanding and kind person. I interviewed numerous companies prior to selecting Bio-One. Bio-One clearly understood the human aspects of an unpleasant situation much more so than the other companies. And, based on the competitor cost estimates I received, I was very pleasantly surprised at the end of the job. Bill's estimate was accurate and ended up being a significantly better value than the next nearest competitor.
