Tips When Calling Bio-One

This is never a service I thought I would need but Chris was so helpful and kind, I couldn’t be more grateful.

Chris did a great job! He was very understanding and accommodating and provided excellent customer service. I had a big project I needed help with and he helped me to strategically break it into smaller manageable projects. I can’t thank him enough for his help! Definitely recommend!

An absolutely terrific and professional company. We recently had a bio-hazard issue we needed remediated immediately on a Saturday morning. We called a few places and most weren’t open or willing to travel the distance without an extra call out surcharge. We gave Bio-One a call and within 2 hours of calling Chris, the company’s president, was at the doorstep. Chris was extremely courteous and professional to the situation we were dealing with. He asked a number of questions that were relevant to the clean up and offered advice on how best to not only mitigate the bio-hazard issue, but how to deal with the expense of mitigation. Many factors we did not understand or knew about were all carefully explained to us. After an assessment of the affected rooms, Chris had documented the damage for insurance purposes and was ready to get to work. When I called I sincerely thought we would just get a quote and work would be done later, but the importance of mitigating the fluids was paramount and I was surprised at how fast Chris started working. Throughout the clean up, Bio-One was discreet in their movements and how they entered and exited the home. The property is in a VERY nosy town with an active Facebook page that often discusses the comings and goings of people’s lives. Chris made sure he positioned his truck (with no company markings) by the door and staged all the materials he needed out of view of the public. All soiled materials were brought out in nondescript bags and put into the truck. A number of people walked by and were none the wiser to what was going on. The project was very time consuming and I had to eventually go home. Chris stayed in touch with me throughout the day with any updates. The home was still occupied and Chris was fantastic about conducting all the work in a manner that would not bother the person there. The occupant of the home wished to go to bed, but could not because they struggle to take care of them self. Despite working all day in sweltering heat and in a tyvek suit, Chris took it upon himself to find sheets and make the bed, and got the occupant to their room. Chris went above and beyond any expectation and showed genuine care for somebody suffering in their time of need. Bio-One has followed up after the work was completed and ensured we had contacts for repair people to fix the damage to the home and what steps were needed to deal with insurance. As Chris stated, “this isn’t goodbye, we will be with you throughout this process.” I cannot recommend Bio-One enough and I can honestly say I haven’t worked with a company this professional is many many years. Although I do not want to have an experience where I would need their services in the future, but if I did, they will be my first phone call.

I cannot say enough positive things about Bio-One of Gaithersburg. I dealt with the owner (a kind man who gave his employees off for the holiday weekend) directly, and he is who decontaminated my car. I'd had a mishap involving a large puppy I was transporting for a rescue where I volunteer, and poop was everywhere. Ground into the vented leather seats, too. Chris Meadows spent many hours, meticulously cleaning and disinfecting every bit of my car, even finding more areas than I had found myself. I think this is the cleanest my interior has ever been. His pricing was more than fair, especially considering the many hours he spent making my SUV clean again! He was super fast in calling me back initially, and also very quick in getting to my house. But he was slow and thorough in actually decontaminating.
