    The insurance policy number.

    4

This is the date when the event that caused the damage or loss occurred.

Typically, insurance will pay the full amount, less the deductible. Homeowners or the insured will then be responsible for paying the deductible

What if We Don’t Have Homeowners Insurance?

Bio-One Nw will visit the property to evaluate the situation and provide a remediation plan. Because insurance isn’t involved, we will work with the homeowner or next of kin directly to negotiate pricing and best next steps to help.
    Renters Insurance
In many cases, renters insurance only covers personal property. Depending on the circumstances, we may just need to remediate personal property and renters insurance may cover this work, less your deductible.

if remediation includes changes to the structure of the property (removal of flooring, drywall, vanities, etc.) we will need to get permission from the property manager or property owner to complete remediation.

Often, Bio-One helps file two insurance claims in these situations. One to renters insurance and one to homeowners insurance.
    Hoarding
Hoarding, unfortunately, isn’t covered by insurance. Bio-One teams offer estimates and will create a detailed remediation proposal to meet your needs and goals.

To help with payment, there are often local organizations or social service programs that may be able to help with funding. Ask your Bio-One office if they have referrals for help with payment.
    Discounts and Offers
Many Bio-One locations actively offer extra discounts for sites involving children, law enforcement officers, other first responders, veterans, and military personnel.

Be sure to ask about these offers to see if your location is participating.
    Accurate Estimates

At Bio-One, we make it a point to learn your goals and create an estimate that meets your expectations.

To do this, we will visit your property and tour the impacted areas. During this estimate, we’ll:

    • Evaluate remediation next steps
    • Ask key questions to learn what success means to you
    • Prepare an estimate that reflects our tour and discussion
    Financing May Be Available
    • Rates from 0% APR

Hired them for a tragic unattended death cleanup on a commercial property. They were on time and professional did a great job! The area was so clean it was as if nothing happened. I shopped around for a company with reasonable rates not expecting to get A+ service, but I did with Bio One NW. Highly recommend.

Yesterday, with the help of an organizer, I tackled the long-overdue project of cleaning my garage. When we discovered mouse/rat feces, we knew we couldn't simply haul things off to a regular dump but should contact a company that deals with hazardous waste. It took a bit of online searching and making several calls, but I finally reached Mike, the dispatcher. From the get-go, I was impressed with how responsive he was to my concerns. He told me he thought a couple of his people could be at my place in a couple of hours but would check and get back to me. It was already past noon when I called, and I was anxious about getting everything resolved that day. Mike got back to me to let me know that he was able to squeeze me in, and shortly before 3:00 Jason and Travis showed up. They packed up the truck with the first load; Jason took off for the hazardous waste dump and Travis - or, as I dubbed him for his amazing strength, Paul Bunyan of the PNW - stayed and packed things up and hauled them to the curb. When I tried to help by carrying things as well, Travis would take the items from me and tell me it was his job and that I should just relax. I persisted, saying that I wanted to do what I could. When Jason set off with the third and final truckload, Travis started in on a thorough cleaning of my garage. Jason later joined him, and they swept and vacuumed from top to bottom before spraying with two different chemicals, the same chemicals used for remediation in instances of deaths and suicides. I was a bit shocked when I heard that, since I hadn't really looked closely at Bio-One NW's website and seen what sorts of situations they deal with. Nevertheless, knowing that the same chemicals were used for such situations provided me with a sense of security. After spraying, Jason closed up the garage. 30 minutes later I opened it so that it could air out, and a further 30 minutes later, I brought stuff back inside the garage. Done! My feelings about Bio-One NW are nothing but positive. They were responsive and empathetic, came to my "rescue" quickly, worked hard and did a thorough, professional job and throughout were very polite and very, very nice to me.

Sean and his team were thorough in their questions, and explanations, and that thoroughness and attention to detail carried over into the work that they did. I felt safe coming home knowing that I was going into a clean environment to recover. Thank you Bio-One NW Team!

I want to give a huge shout out to the Bio-One team for the amazing job they did for a family member’s basement. To give you an idea of the horrific state of the basement, let me say two words…. Hoarder and Rats. After getting Pest Control in to eradicate the rats, I called Bio-One to see what they could do to help. Sean was amazing at getting a team out to the house and reassuring me that they could take care of everything. Because of the magnitude of the items to be removed and the clean up afterwards, Sean sent out a team of four. These guys are incredible. I can’t say enough about Jason, Travis, Joe and Jaz. These guys worked hard, quickly and efficiently and even though this was really nasty, heavy, and hard work, I never saw anyone slacking. Everyone, from Sean in the office to the guys in the field (Jason, Travis, Joe and Jaz) were professional, kind and courteous. Just as Sean promised, they took care of everything, from getting rid of all the items from 60 years of hoarding, cleaning/vacuuming up EVERYTHING, and disinfecting the entire basement from top to bottom. I am so appreciative of all they did, and I would give them more than 5 stars if possible.

I highly recommend Bio-One North West. Their prices are fair and they were extremely prompt and professional in every detail of the process.

Potential spread of the biohazards in unseen spaces (under flooring, drywall, carpet, etc.)
Number of items in the home that have been impacted
Time needed to set up OSHA zones and thoroughly disinfect personal property
    Density of the debris
Time needed to sort through items
Identifying items that could be donated or should be saved
