It Starts With One Call

  • You Call – We're here 24/7 to answer and respond fast.
  • We Arrive – Local experts show up quickly and ready to help.
  • We Assess – We walk through the space, explain what needs to be done, and answer your questions.
  • We Clean – We carefully clean, disinfect, and remove any biohazards.
  • We Make it Right — Our goal is to restore your space and peace of mind to normal.

We're by your side from the first call to the final walkthrough.

Here for You, Right Here in Your Community

Locally owned. Personally invested.

The person running your local Bio-One isn’t just in the business—they’re part of your neighborhood. They know the area, understand what you’re going through, and care about making a real difference. Trained and certified, they lead a team that shows up 24/7 with compassion, discretion, and respect.

When you call, you’re not getting a stranger. You’re getting a neighbor who’s ready to help.

Bio-One Providence

Bruce Ballard is the owner of Bio-One of Boston and Bio-One of Providence. Bruce grew up locally, playing sports and constantly engaged in his father's church. Bruce is a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a degree in Exercise Science. Bruce has always had a passion for helping people. Immediately after college, Bruce threw himself into the fitness community to help people become healthier and improve their quality of life. Since then, Bruce has invested himself in the public sector, earning his National Paramedic license and becoming a Firefighter/Paramedic in a local community. With the assistance of his wife, Nicolette, Bruce looks to continue his life passion of helping those in their most dreaded time of need.

I’m a firefighter-paramedic. I’ve been in the fire service for almost 10 years. I chose Bio-One of Providence because I wanted to continue serving the community, showing up for people when they need it most, not just when they dial 911.

I was born in Pawtucket, Rhode Island—raised right in the middle of it all. My brother graduated from Shea High. I still know those neighborhoods street by street. Helping here means something personal. This business lets me take that mission a step further.

We do more than clean. We help people rebuild their lives. If you're facing something overwhelming, we’ll be right there with you.

You won't be getting a call center. When you call Bio-One of Providence, you get me or Dave. Someone who cares and knows what to do.

We’ll ask a few questions—whatever you're comfortable answering—and develop a response plan tailored to your needs. We walk you through it, talk you through it, and take the ride with you.

If needed, we can coordinate with the police or fire department. We’ll arrive quickly—sometimes in as little as two hours—and we won't give you a cable company's typical window. You’ll get a real time, and we’ll be there.

From the first call through cleanup and insurance, we handle it so you don’t have to.

We only engage with the people who want to be involved with—and only to the point they’re comfortable with. Whether it’s a hoarding situation, odor removal, or a suicide cleanup, privacy is always a top concern.

We never post identifiable photos. There are no clients, no names, nothing recognizable in any of our documentation. Even if we need to show a before-and-after, you’d have a hard time recognizing the space, even if it were your own.

This work requires trust. It doesn’t do us any good if you don’t trust us. We protect that trust at every step.

One client I’ll never forget was a woman helping her mother after the home was condemned. It was three full floors—raccoons, rodents, trash, top to bottom.

We were there for a month and a half. Every day, she was with us—we did a daily race to make sure we didn't throw out anything that mattered.

By the end, we were like family. We’d finish the day, go out to dinner, and discuss what we'd found. She sent us Christmas cards for years. She told us we had to keep her recommendation letter forever.

That’s what this work can be—more than a job, it’s a connection—a turning point.

Stronger Communities
Start with Compassion

More than cleanup—it’s about community. We go beyond cleanup to support real people in real need. We’re not just here to clean. We’re here to care.

Bio-One works closely with first responders, local agencies, and community groups to help those facing crisis, loss, or trauma.

  • We support local efforts to promote safety and healing.
  • We show up when people need real help.
  • We give back however we can—because this work is personal.

No matter how we grow, our mission stays the same: Always put people first, help with heart, and do the right thing.
