Owner
James McArthur is 51 years old and was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Being the second of three children from a single mother, he learned the values of hard work, caring, love, and service to the community at a very young age. He even attended college twice a week while still in high school.
James started his own small company, then another, and another, until he came across Bio-One. He instantly fell in love with the motto: "help first, business second."
James grew up believing that "we all should be attached to something greater than ourselves." He views Bio-One as his chance to help people, and the community, on what is most likely a day of tragedy.
People always ask him, "how can you do something like this every day?" His answer has always remained the same: “If I can shield a family from further exposure by absorbing the trauma and saving the memory of their loved one, I’m going to.” It gives him renewed strength and energy to know he’s made a difference.
Cannot stress enough how helpful, professional and courteous James and his crew always are. Have been using them for years in our 90-unit apartment building in center city. Highly recommend and James always has a solution.

James is one of the most giving and compassionate human beings that I've never met. I say "never" because we only spoke via the telephone. He sanitized my grandmother's home for me after she caught a stomach bug that was contagious to the touch and did it out of the kindness of his heart free of charge. This goes to show there are still honest and trustworthy people in the world. He put my mind at ease and refused any compensation. I recommend him to the fullest extent and thank him tremendously!
