I've known Phill and Angela Kirton for a few years now and find them as caring kindhearted people definitely putting the customer first. I highly recommend them.

Angie and Phill are kind, compassionate and professional. They have helped two of my clients. Both were so afraid to reach out for help, due to feeling ashamed of their situation. Phill and Angie treated them with respect and dignity. One situation was urgent and they were able to come out the same day to remediate 10 years' worth of damage. Both clients were so relieved and grateful for Angie and Phill's help! Past the final roadblock, my clients were able to put their homes on the market.

Many thanks to PDX Hoarding / Bio-One for their assistance in cleaning up my father’s home this December. From the initial email introduction and phone call, my concerns were put at ease, as this was all new to me. Phill was very calming on the phone, as he knew this was a difficult call that I just made. He assured me that his team was compassionate and professional, as they too had gone through this same ordeal with his own family. Knowing that he comes from a place of empathy was exactly what I needed to hear! Due to COVID-19 restrictions and social distancing guidelines, I provided a typed summary and pictures documenting the issues at hand. From there we scheduled an in-person meeting at the home, for a proper walk-through. He and his wife met me at my father’s house. They were professional, masked up, clipboard in hand and booties on the feet. Upon entering the house, they didn’t break stride due to the smell and overall disarray…they took it all in and that helped me with my internal angst. They asked numerous questions and provided varying solutions. I truly felt at ease with them and knew they had my father’s best interests in mind. Their almost 20 years of experience helped guide me through the process, even pointing out underlying issues I hadn’t even considered. Again, this was very comforting and reinforced their expertise and professionalism. As we moved forward with the cleaning job, they provided an estimate in a timely manner, had quick scheduling opportunities and were able to complete the job in less than eight hours! The cleaning team was friendly, professional and organized. They brought questions and suggestions to us, so we could quickly make calculated decisions. That said, I do recommend for the homeowner or caregiver to have a temporary ‘home base’, just outside of the home. The team moved quickly and everything was being shuffled around, so sitting at the dining table, waiting to answer questions is not the best location. Since the house is temporarily out of commission for making lunch, plan ahead and pack something or consider delivery. All trash items were staged in the driveway and items to be sorted at a later date were in the garage. When my father returned to his house, from the outside, you couldn’t tell that anyone had been there! Upon entering the home, we were greeted with clean hallways and fresh smells. It didn’t smell of vanilla, but more importantly it didn’t smell of industrial cleaning solutions. Whew! We cannot thank PDX Hoarding / Bio-One for their care, attention to detail, professionalism and empathy. They made this difficult task, easier than expected. The total bill was commensurate with the level of service provided and I was grateful for everything. In conclusion, my father was back in his home that evening and he’s in great spirits and pleased with everyone’s efforts. The house is ready to welcome family and friends for the holidays! We had someone leave us a biological gift overnight at the front door of my office. These guys were great to work with and had a crew onsite asap. I hope to not go through the same experience again, but if it happens I will immediately call these guys again.

This company's communication was top tier. They responded incredibly quickly, listened in detail to my explanation, and gave candid and cost-saving advice to just remove and replace some carpet and padding instead of hiring them to remove odor. Thank you!

Recently we had a tragic death in the family. The biohazard it made was horrendous and heartbreaking. Phill and his team responded even before the police left the scene. They were compassionate as much as they were efficient. They understood the grief my wife was going through and ‘erased’ the scene so she could enter without being traumatized. Being in law enforcement myself, I know how much hazmat cleanup can cost. BioOnePDX was extremely fair and cost effective. I honestly hope we never have to use them again for obvious reasons but if we did, I know we can trust them to take care of us as if we were part of their own family. I don't often write reviews but Angela, Phil and their team at Bio-One need to be called out for being an amazing, responsive, caring company. A week before Christmas there was an emergency situation that I was made aware of. A situation that needed to be urgently addressed. I live in Boston and the cleanup that needed to be done was in Portland, Oregon. I called Bio-One first on a weekend. This was a hoarding and bio-hazard clean-up. Amazingly, with only 1 days notice they made time for my situation immediately. I flew in to Portland on the Monday night and they were at the location to greet me Tuesday morning. They were on-time, kept to the pricing quotes, were compassionate and thoughtful about what to dispose of and what to keep. They sent pictures and helped me through processing what was happening. I can't say enough good words about this company and the owners. Thank you.

The Bio-One team did an amazing job and completely transformed my apartment in just a few hours! I was in awe. They were thoughtful and thorough and worked well together in a small space with a lot of stuff. They were able to tackle tasks without needing direction and always asked questions when they weren't sure. I highly recommend them.

Given the kind of work that Bio-One does -- cleaning-up horrendous messes -- they're not likely to get a lot of customers who will write reviews on Yelp. That's a shame, because these wonderful people deserve mountains of praise for what they do and the great way they do it. I had a relative who needed their services recently and we found Bio-One's entire crew to embody all the good adjectives: professional, kind -- so, so, kind --, honest, caring, patient, fast, thorough ... I could go on. Most of all, they enjoy helping people and bring a lot of heart to what they do and that made the hard work easier to bear. On a more tactical level, they use mostly their own employees, not day laborers. That's a major reason we chose them and, I think, that has much to do with how thrilled we are with their work. So, if you are in the unfortunate position of needing their kind of services, then you have my sympathies and one emphatic recommendation to use Bio-One.
