My name is Desmond, I’m a certified Mental Health First Aider and First Responder. I left the healthcare industry and became the proud owner of Bio-One of San Jose.
After I finished graduate school, I worked in the healthcare industry for over 20 years. During the last 4 years and since the pandemic, I have successfully hosted many clinics—from COVID-19 to flu—at different organizations, including long term care facilities, government agencies, and businesses.
I’ve had the privilege in my profession to have been able to touch many people's lives, especially at the beginning of the pandemic. I have seen how these clinics have had a positive impact on many people. The vaccines administered enabled many patients to see their family and provided relief to parents who want their children vaccinated.
I left the healthcare industry for the biohazard cleaning industry with one goal in mind: to continue to provide direct impact services to my community. My passion in helping others did not stop after leaving the healthcare industry, but continued in a different way.
I help my clients by helping them to reorganize their living spaces, helping them to see a light at the end of the tunnel, providing them with a fresh or new start, cleaning up trauma scenes, and minimizing reliving the trauma they went through. I believe in helping first and business second.
With that, I joined the Bio-One team. Bio-One provided me with the necessary training and the tools to help our common clients. At the same time, it provides me opportunities to support my passion in helping the members of my community. Had an unexpected situation that happened in my Mom's home on 12 Jan 21. When the police cleared the scene, we contacted ServePro for clean up. I have been with Bio One of Mesa for a year and have had the pleasure building up Mesa and the surrounding areas, has been a great experience from helping people in times of need to meeting wonderful people and connecting with folks and being a face of a community when they call I am there, which I never thought that could be possible. I just used Bio-One Richmond to help me with "Overwhelming Clutter". Marc responded immediately, gave me an estimate, and set up a scheduled time. The team members (1 to 4 of them) showed up daily on-time and ready to work. Chase lead the group and set up a daily plan with me. He and Chase 2.0 and Elliot and Sidny were efficient, effective and respectful as they listened to my requets, filled 2 large dumpster loads, delivered donations and cleaned the garage, the attic, and every room. Reached out to Bio-One asking for help on a BAD odor and explained that it was an emergency as it was in a church. The gentleman that answered the phone not only answered my questions but also assured me that they would be able to work on it that day and do whatever they could so Sunday Morning services could take place. Spoke with them the next morning and they relayed to me that the church was able to continue with services as planned and that everything was freshened up. HIGHLY RECOMMEND them for any all your Bio Needs.

My husband and I opened up our Bio-One office in 2018 in Flagstaff. We have received so much support from Bio-One Inc to make sure that we can reach our full potential. We get to help our community, partner with other amazing companies and be more available for our children than ever before. On top of that, all of the other offices are great to work with and support one another. The only regret we have is not purchasing an officer sooner.
