Nadine Black and Anthony Coleman are the principal owners of Bio-One of Winston-Salem. Nadine began her career in the medical field and has since spent the last 30 years in wealth management, advising families on all aspects of their lives. Anthony is a graduate of the Fox School of Business at Temple University and has spent his career in corporate finance and accounting, also working primarily in the wealth management and banking industries. Nadine spent most of her time over the past 30 years on the West Coast, and Anthony has always been based in the Northeast. They relocated to North Carolina in 2017 and are both very proud to now call North Carolina their home. They both have a deep affection for the state of North Carolina and are always seeking opportunities to get involved in local events and projects. Nadine & Anthony both share a strong passion for helping those in need, and that is what ultimately drove them to join the Bio-One family, where helping comes first and business comes second.

We both agreed that we wanted to start something geared toward helping people navigate this emotionally taxing process.

After decades in corporate America, we knew we were ready for something different—something that mattered. Corporate America was a job. This is a passion. When we discovered Bio-One, it checked every box. It wasn’t a household service. It was something people truly needed—yet most folks wouldn’t even know who to call.

We truly found a home with Bio-One when we discovered this business. It gives us the chance to do something meaningful for others every single day. And for me (Nadine), it connects deeply to a dream I had as a young girl—to be a first responder. This work allows us to step in during some of life’s most challenging moments and bring calm, clarity, and care.

You’ll be greeted with compassion, discretion, and a caring heart—every call we take starts with listening. Sometimes people just need to cry or let it out—and that’s okay. Sometimes it starts with just listening first. We understand that reaching out isn’t easy.
Once we know your situation, we will walk you through what to expect. We’ll schedule a walkthrough if needed, explain the cleanup process, and discuss your options, including insurance if applicable.
You’ll never be pushed. You’ll never be judged. You’ll know exactly what we’ll do and when. We’ll be in constant contact with you throughout the process.

And if you need to slow down or take a breath at any point, we’ll support you too.

We are committed to maintaining the confidentiality of your information. Your situation is yours alone. That’s why we take every step to ensure discretion. We never discuss our services with neighbors or anyone else, not even about what we’re doing.
We arrive in an unmarked vehicle, and we never post anything online. Our entire team understands this commitment. You will never see your situation used in marketing or social media. That’s not what we’re about.
It’s the part of the job where the help first really comes out. Discretion isn’t just about privacy. It’s about dignity. And especially in emotional or high-sensitivity situations, we take that seriously.
We want you to feel comfortable, every step of the way. And you can trust that what happens between you and Bio-One stays between you and Bio-One.

We had a scene that was severely hoarded, with items piled to the ceiling in every single room. And underneath it all, there had also been an undiscovered death. It was heartbreaking. The family didn’t know who to call, and they were in a state of distress.
It was our biggest job ever. It took us three weeks, about 17 or 18 dumpsters. But what mattered more was how we showed up. We supported the son and the rest of the family throughout their ordeal.
We just went in and started working. When it was all said and done, the impact we had on the family was immense. They were so thankful—not just for the cleanup, but for the comfort.
That’s why we do this. We’re here to provide people with comfort and guidance on what to do next.

We prepare a plan with the family so that everybody is on the same page. Then we follow through—step by step. The job’s not done until we’ve walked through the space with you, ensured everything is complete, and answered any last questions.
We conduct walkthroughs and satisfaction surveys and we make sure everybody’s happy. And if something’s not right, we fix it. It’s that simple. We’ll come back out, address any concerns, and stay until you’re confident that the job is truly done.
We know this isn’t just a service—it’s your space and your peace of mind.

    Real People. Real Compassion.

Our team is experienced, compassionate, and here to support you through something serious, without judgment. From the first call to the final walkthrough, you’ll be treated with care, calmness, and clarity.
We’re not just trained—we’re thoughtful. We work with families every day through difficult moments, and we’re proud to be the ones they trust.

Technicians are trained to meet OSHA standards.
We take time to walk you through what to expect.
    Always discreet, always respectful.

decontamination and biohazard cleaning services reviews
    Elizabeth Glenn, Winston-Salem, 05/2022
Friend’s family used BioOne to clean up after we found her deceased. They returned when it was time to clean out remaining belongings. I came to collect a few sentimental items set aside for me. I met BioOne representatives when I was there and they were very kind and compassionate. The staff was helpful, courteous and understanding as I collected other items to share with friends or donate to charitable organizations. I will recommend them anytime someone needs this kind of service.

    Jamy, Winston-Salem, 01/2022
For several years, my landlord allowed a wet basement issue to continue unchecked. I decided to buy the house and fix the basement myself, but when I hired an inspector I was told that the basement was so badly contaminated with mold and fungus that it rendered the entire house unsafe for habitation. I was also told that all of the belongings I had stored in totes down there we're also contaminated and would have to be destroyed. I had Christmas ornaments, books, puzzles, games, memorabilia, furniture, baby clothes, off-season clothes, my son's Star Wars collectibles and more down there and was devastated that I not only would have to move out, but would also have to get rid of most of these things. The job was huge and nasty, because there was standing water in the basement and actual PUDDLES of black mold; the team had to wear respirators and hazmat suits, it was that bad. But Christopher and his team were professional, respectful, and considerate of my distress. It is never easy to see your belongings hauled off and thrown into a dumpster by a group of strangers, but it helped to know that they were doing their best to help me and helping to reduce the nightmare situation in that basement. It has been a traumatic week for me, to be honest, but they helped it to be a little less so with their professionalism and efficiency. Thank you.
