Phillip & Angela Kirton are the owners of Bio-One of PDX. We joined Bio-One because we want to help families and serve our community. Through personal experience, we understand and empathize with families during these difficult times and we can help your family through it as well. We are crime and trauma scene cleanup specialists that get in and get out so you can move on. The most important and rewarding work that we can do is to help change the worst day of someone's life into something much better.
I don't often write reviews but Angela, Phil and their team at Bio-One need to be called out for being an amazing, responsive, caring company. A week before Christmas there was an emergency situation that I was made aware of. A situation that needed to be urgently addressed. I live in Boston and the cleanup that needed to be done was in Portland, Oregon. I called Bio-One first on a weekend. This was a hoarding and bio-hazard clean-up. Amazingly, with only 1 days notice they made time for my situation immediately. I flew in to Portland on the Monday night and they were at the location to greet me Tuesday morning. They were on-time, kept to the pricing quotes, were compassionate and thoughtful about what to dispose of and what to keep. They sent pictures and helped me through processing what was happening. I can't say enough good words about this company and the owners. Thank you.

Angie and Phill are kind, compassionate and professional. They have helped two of my clients. Both were so afraid to reach out for help, due to feeling ashamed of their situation. Phill and Angie treated them with respect and dignity. One situation was urgent and they were able to come out the same day to remediate 10 years' worth of damage. A while back I had some rats take up residence in my garage, which is giant and mostly unused other than as a storage space. I had pest control come help me eliminate the guests but their party signs remained. After diligent research on safely handling rat droppings, I suited up with my $100 of PPE and gear and went to get to work on what I thought would be an unpleasant but manageable Sunday afternoon task. Thirty minutes in, I was ugly-crying into my half-face respirator mask on the garage floor, and clicked the first result that came up on a google search for help. I am beyond grateful that I ended up with the team that came to help a few days later. They were the most incredibly combination of compassionately kind, and masterfully, efficiently competent. It was a much bigger job than I realized, and they walked me through exactly what to expect, executed the job thoroughly, and left me with a functional garage. I wept when I saw it. I clean blown away by how kind and matter-of-fact everyone was. I am so grateful for their help.

Given the kind of work that Bio-One does -- cleaning-up horrendous messes -- they're not likely to get a lot of customers who will write reviews on Yelp. That's a shame, because these wonderful people deserve mountains of praise for what they do and the great way they do it. I had a relative who needed their services recently and we found Bio-One's entire crew to embody all the good adjectives: professional, kind -- so, so, kind --, honest, caring, patient, fast, thorough ... I could go on. Most of all, they enjoy helping people and bring a lot of heart to what they do and that made the hard work easier to bear. On a more tactical level, they use mostly their own employees, not day laborers. That's a major reason we chose them and, I think, that has much to do with how thrilled we are with their work. So, if you are in the unfortunate position of needing their kind of services, then you have my sympathies and one emphatic recommendation to use Bio-One.
